EP Publishing, Wakefield, 1974. Reprinted from the third edition. 276pp, nominal roll of officer casualties, illustrations and map. Sergeant-Major Edward Cotton served with the 7th Hussars but on the day of the battle was acting as orderly to Major-General Sir Hussey Vivian, commander of the 6th Cavalry Brigade and as such had a good overview of the event. With minor exceptions, this is an accurate account of the battle made all the more vivid because Cotton 'was there'. Red boards, dj. Bookplate of former owner on ffep. G+.
