Gale and Polden, Aldershot [nd but about 1925]. Published for private circulation only. 246pp, apps, numerous col and b/w illustrations, excellent fold-out sketch maps. This is an outstanding history of an outstanding regiment by a former commanding officer of the 2nd Battalion. During WW1 the Regiment served and fought in France (Neuve Chapelle, Festubert and Loos) and Mesopotamia. This history also provides short accounts of the regiment's activities in the Abor expedition 1911,Third Afghan War 1919 and North Persia 1919-1921.
