Eyre & Spottiswoode, London, [nd but @ 1902-1905 see later]. Large format. Unpaginated facsimile copies of 'The Gram' bound in white vellum with a photo of Pretoria Prison on the front board. In the Boer War this prison housed captured British Officers and interned British civilians during the first half of 1900. The original magazines were hand written and drawn, but because of production problems only small numbers were run-off. Issue I had 44 pages, Issue II 46 pages (including nominal roll of prisoners) and Issue III only five pages. Wear and soiling to white vellum boards, lower spine split, no dj. Ffep has stuck on letter dated 15 May 1905 from Julius Raines presenting this book to Major G V Dauglish, The Buffs with similar sentiment dated 16 May 1905 on front pastedown. Also on front pastedown is statement dated August 1946 that the copy is presented to The Buffs Regimental Museum by the Rev G W Dauglish, son of the above Major. Believed only 500 copies produced.
