Parker, Furnival and Parker, London, 1852. 196 pages, appendix, two col and one b/w plates. One of the series of regimental histories compiled by Richard Cannon during the middle of the 19th century. Several units were raised, re-numbered and disbanded bearing the title 71st Regiment during the 18th century. This history commences with the unit in being in 1777. Over the period covered by this history, the Regiment served and fought in the American War of Independence, in India, the Napoleonic Wars, Waterloo, Canada and the West Indies.
