Separate accounts by several officers of the activities of the 1/5th and 2/5th Somerest Light Infantry during the First World War. The 1/5th served and fought in India, Egypt and Palestine, and sent some drafts to Mesopotamia. The 2/5th served in Burma and similarly sent drafts to Mesopotamia.
